Picture below is the previous interior look of the boys dorm
Sinthamani Divine Life Ashram, an orphanage located at Jinjang Utara, Kuala Lumpur which houses 32 children aged between 1 month to 21 years old. Living together are another 2 old folks and 4 single mothers.
Thila, the home's assistant called me yesterday for help.
She said the ashram's roof was being dismantled because of serious irreparable leaking problem.
Most of the children are now cramped in the cabins outside the home compound that serves as a temporary shelter while some other boys are housed with some good hearted residents who live at the long houses nearby.
One part of the house is still occupational which serves to prepare food and a place to stay for some girls.
It was Praveendran, the home founder, who requested to put up this urgent appeal to the general public for donation to rebuild the roof, so that work can be done fast and return the boys and girls to their normal life routines.
Attached is the letter written by Praveen:

I thank you all for reading and hopefully with this publicity it could help raise some much needed funds for the home as soon as possible.
Regardless of the amount, I believe a lot of little donations add up and can make a big difference to those in need.
For the record, our fellow friends and relatives have agreed to channel RM1,000.00 from the funds raised earlier to Padmasambhava Children Loving Association into buying construction material
and deliver to the home, of which, I will handle the matter personally. Please stay tune to my update after our visit to Padmasambhava Children Loving Association on 21 June,2009.
